Arbitrary and Capricious

I Have A Calling
2 min readApr 25, 2018

To DREAM! Today, thanks to the rule of Law, Dreamers can keep dreaming on! I am a U.S. citizen. I have never, ever had to imagine being kicked out of this country and shipped off to….somewhere. I don’t know what it is like to not know where I’m from, literally. I have tried to imagine what Dreamer’s have been experiencing since “secret, alternative to a President” rescinded their security, their PROMISE to be free to live the American Dream and the only thing I can relate it to is when you find out the one you are in love with is love with someone else. Was it all a lie? The rejection, of being shunned, abandoned and forsaken.

Feeling Like An Object to Throw Away or Keep!

But at least it was over. I didn’t have to wonder if maybe someone could talk her out of it, change her mind. No. I think Dreamers have had it even worse than that! The back and forth. Happy, hopeful-disappointed and lost. On top of that the paranoia of “when will they come and get me? Will they take my kids? Where will I go? How will I live?” That is going to take YEARS to repair. To feel safe, secure and PART OF our country!
